Information we may collect

When you choose to contact Skip, request a home value, subscribe to Rogue Valley notes, complete a quiz, or otherwise submit a form, we may receive information such as your name, email address, phone number, property address, real estate goals and the message or answers you provide.

Basic technical information may also be created when you use the site, such as browser or device type, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from an IP address, and similar log or analytics information.

02

How we use information

We may use information to respond to requests, prepare for a real estate conversation, provide brokerage services, improve site content, maintain security, understand which resources are useful, and send newsletters or other communications you asked to receive.

Submitting a website form does not by itself create a brokerage, agency, attorney-client or other professional relationship.

03

Outside services and links

The site links to or may use services operated by other companies, including our IDX/home-search platform, form or hosting providers, email tools, embedded media, map services, analytics, and third-party websites we recommend or reference. Those services have their own privacy practices.

Hanson Legal is a separate law practice. Information submitted to Skip Real Estate is not automatically submitted to Hanson Legal and does not create an attorney-client relationship.

04

Cookies, local storage and similar technology

The site or services embedded in it may use cookies, pixels, local storage or similar technology to make features work, remember preferences, measure site use or understand how visitors interact with pages. Browser controls can limit or delete cookies, although some site functions may work differently afterward.

05

Your communication choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the unsubscribe method in the message or by contacting us. You can also ask us to update or delete information you previously submitted, subject to records we need to keep for legal, regulatory, transaction, security or legitimate business purposes.

06

Oregon privacy rights

Oregon law gives consumers certain privacy rights when a business is covered by the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act. Depending on applicability and exceptions, those rights can include requesting access to personal data, a copy of it, correction, deletion, information about disclosures to third parties, and opting out of certain processing such as sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling.

Skip will review privacy requests in light of the laws that apply to the business and the information involved. To make a request, email hello@skiprealestate.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

07

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, our business and brokerage-record obligations, dispute prevention, security and applicable law. No website or electronic system can promise perfect security, but we use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the information we handle.

08

Children

This website is intended for adults making real estate and relocation decisions. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to submit personal information through the website. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review it.
